The CNS Inventory Control System is a dedicated service providing, ports, terminals, shipping lines, agents and freight forwarders with the means to achieve customs clearance on cargo from around the world.
The CNS Inventory Control System is designed specifically to meet the time sensitive nature of the sea cargo industry, as well as ensuring that HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as well as other statutory bodies, such as Department for Environment & Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Port Health and Trading Standards, the ability to control and monitor these movements through UK ports and terminals.
CNS works in close association with the British International Freight Association (BIFA), which is the UK trade association for international freight forwarding, logistics, cargo, trade, imports and exports. This relationship is fundamental in representing the trade’s views on the future development of the Inventory Control System.
