What happens to non harmonised pre-lodged entries?
Non harmonised entries that were not arrived by midnight on Sunday 20th January are now invalid and unable to be used for clearance.
CHIEF have confirmed they will be deleting non harmonised pre-lodgements.
Pre-lodged imports
The UCN on the CNS inventory needs to be reset in order to allow a new declaration. The CNS help desk will reset UCNs to status 92 (cancelled entry) on receipt of an e-mail request from the clearing agent, or HMRC.
Please send e-mails to helpdesk@cnsonline.net.
You will then need to complete a harmonised declaration against the UCN.
Pre-lodged exports
Non harmonised DUCRS attached to a MUCR arrived after SAD H cutover will need to be disassociated. Harmonised DUCRS will then need to be associated.
The CHIEF system does not allow for MUCR amendment after MUCR arrival.
CNS are able to action the removal and addition of DUCRS to a MUCR only if all of the following requirements are met:
1) The MUCR is attached to a container on the CNS inventory (Port of Loading is Southampton, Tilbury or Belfast only)
2) The container has been arrived
3) HMRC have given permission (usually by stamping a fax request)
Please use the Request MUCR Amendment form for MUCR amendment requests.
Alternatively a new MUCR can be created. The shipping line will be able to update this against the container in the UC screen on CNS.
